Riverview Staff,

Next week is going to be packed with excitement!

Before getting to the many activities, I wanted to update you on the construction occurring beside the playground.  Facilities Director Steve Deghand came out to walk the perimeter with me on Thursday to see what is happening with the very close construction, which has gotten quite close to the school.  He is currently looking at all of the other elementary school playground perimeters to determine next steps for Riverview, as well as where to place any additional needed temporary fencing.  He has already placed some temporary fencing up on the west side of the field, and is looking into whether to secure more fencing closer to the actual playground.  Thank you for voicing your concerns to me, please let me know if you have further questions.  We are monitoring this closely.

This upcoming week there is much to communicate.

**Tomorrow (Friday) I will send out an email with the following information, I will forward it onto you for you to have to refer to.  It would be extremely helpful for you to promote the following next week in your classroom communication as well. I appreciate your 'take' on these communications with your parents to keep them informed, engaged, and responsive!  It's so fun reading your newsletters and emails...you say it so well with your own spin on it to keep it fresh! :)

- Riverview Magazine & Tumbler Fundraiser  These proceeds help to fund education resources not covered by district or PTA funds...for example, we have several items to support students and teachers that are renewed annually, electronic subscriptions, our movie watching license, Reading A-Z subscriptions, additional professional development, etc. It is a very important fundraiser, and I truly appreciate the team effort in promoting this with your students and parents!!!

Next week, our Riverview Educational Fundraiser is teaming up with Read Across America Week! Please help us continue to be able to supplement the district-provided curriculum with valuable learning programs and additional education resources! Our teachers consider supplemental materials to be very valuable for their integrated units and personalized learning.

We earn 40% of all magazine orders (think: Read Across America!), and get a return simply from turning in a completed postcard booklet!  This year, you can also purchase a sporty tumbler to support your favorite college team...or the Riverview Falcons tumbler if you want to stay local!  This building fundraiser is one of the main funding sources we have for meeting our additional technology/education needs that support Riverview students K-5.

Students will get 1 emoji prize for each item ordered, and if they turn in their orders by Tuesday, they will get a special 'bling' emoji prize.  Exciting stuff! <<insert excited emoji face here>>

On behalf of our staff, thank you in advance for taking time to review the packet and participate in order to benefit our students!
