Riverview Staff,

Good afternoon!  Thank you to everyone's practice with our two drills today.  They were very efficient, with both drills completed in under 8 minutes!  This upcoming week will have some long days....take care of yourself and try to find small ways to de-stress each day!  Please promote the PTA fundraiser through your classroom newsletters, and through participating in the Spirit Days! Remember, if you participate in a spirit day, you can wear jeans that day! However, due to conferences on Wednesday night, please bring professional clothing to wear in the evening.  :)

I am pleased to announce that we have hired a third special education paraprofessional to help meet our students' needs here at Riverview; Mindy Scott will be joining our outstanding DR staff.  Mindy has been a para substitute in the district (mainly at Horizon) for several months, and has served in the role very well.  She is also a superstar parent volunteer here at Riverview, serving as the PTA Fundraising Chairperson and our Girls on the Run co-sponsor.  Mindy is highly motivated and a self-starter, and will no doubt be invested in our students’ success.
